John Casson MBE

Our Patron

John Casson MBE is a former Devon and Cornwall Constabulary officer who has been involved with the police museum collection since it was proposed to launch a charity in 2013.

Since 2006 he has been involved in organising exclusive charity events, awareness dinners and lunches, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity, and organisations.
Over the years, John’s success in hosting luxury events has received the support of Sir Michael Parkinson, Downton Abbey creator Lord Julian Fellowes, former Chief of the Defence Staff General Sir David Richards, ITN News at Ten presenter Sandy Gall, Falklands War veteran Simon Weston, Oscar-winning actress Hayley Mills, Stanley Johnson, and the BBC Security Correspondent, journalist Frank Gardner.

In 2013, and the following year, John organised large-scale events at Slapton Sands, in South Devon, to commemorate the D-Day American training disaster of Exercise Tiger.
