The mini-Museum of Policing in Devon & Cornwall at Court Gate building, Bedford Square, will be opening especially for Tavistock’s Dickensian Evening on Friday 5th December.
Dickensian Evening is a late-night shopping event that transports you back in time as shopkeepers embrace the spirit and dress up in traditional attire. Christmas lights switch-on is at 17:45pm.
The streets are filled with crowds who come to enjoy the old-fashioned traditional Christmas experience. There will be stilt walkers, choirs, bands, and street entertainers all performing throughout the town. For children there’s an old-fashioned merry-go-round fairground ride and candy floss!
